Near-Peer Ambassadors & RP Interns
Richmond Promise Near-Peer Ambassadors are current college students (RP Scholars) who help advance RP’s mission by offering critical support to current high school and middle school students as well as incoming college freshmen.
As integral members of our team, Near-Peer Ambassadors join the RP College Access Team in providing in-classroom programming to local high schools. These RP Scholars serve as valuable resources for students who are navigating the college application process, and they are a key part of the services Richmond Promise provides to Richmond students.
Additionally, Richmond Promise also employs a current RP Scholar as its Marketing & Communications Intern. In this role, the RP Scholar assists the Director of Communications in ideation and creation of external materials, particularly for use on social and digital media. One intern is selected per term, beginning with the Spring 2025 term.
