Today, RP Scholar and UCLA senior Jonathan Valenzuela Mejia is at the controls as he does an Instagram Takeover to give the Richmond Promise community a glimpse of what it’s like to study abroad. Jonathan is currently spending part of his summer in Tokyo, Japan before he returns to Westwood for his senior year.

And, the Instagram Takeover is just the start of a programming series in which Jonathan will partner with Richmond Promise to lead an effort that provides RP Scholars with information on studying abroad. RP Scholars will have the chance to learn about the application process, tips for finding study abroad scholarships, and an inside look at what it’s like to spend part of the college experience outside the United States.
