The Scholar Resiliency Fund

Supporting Students Beyond the Classroom

It Began as a Pandemic Relief Initiative, now the Resiliency Fund is a Permanent Source of Support for Scholars

Richmond Promise Scholars are hard at work actualizing their dreams – balancing internships and academic courses, leading clubs and influencing campus culture, giving back to their communities and engaging in advocacy opportunities, and waking up every day to shape futures full of passion, pride, and purpose.

In short, they are busy!

With so much going on, the last thing our students need to deal with is an emergency. But, cars break down, pipes burst, and rents go up, often with no notice. The Scholar Resiliency Fund exists to ease the burden of these and other immediate expenses on students, so that they can remain in school and focus on what matters most.

With your support, we can ensure that an unexpected financial need doesn’t derail our students from achieving their postsecondary goals.

My major is nursing and this pandemic has affected me a lot. I have a 1 year old and I’m running low on money. I want to buy stuff for school but I barely have enough for food/rent/gas and my baby’s dad lost his job due to Covid. It’s really stressful. I want to continue with school – hopefully you can help us.
